Disabled federation discussed human trafficking

Dear Editor,

The National Federation of Disabled Persons held a seminar on human trafficking on Thursday, September 18, 2014 at the Garden Room, Jamoon Drive, Meadow Brook.

There were two presenters: Mr F Scott and Ms K Cort. The programme was chaired Mr L Greenidge assisted by Ms B Bobb. We looked at human trafficking in its international aspect as well as local. Information was available on video and audio. A group discussion was held and members asked questions.

At the end of the exercise an evaluation form was filled in by members who gave varying opinions on the seminar. Participation certificates were issued to members.

I would like to thank all the persons who assisted in making this seminar a success.

Yours faithfully,
Laurie Greenidge
