A good day for WI cricket

Dear Editor,

I wish to thank Clive Lloyd, the current chairman of selectors, and one of the most successful international cricket captains, not merely for publicly questioning the manner in which the Sunil Narine matter was handled by the IPL, but for reminding the cricket public about past injustices in the treatment of West Indian cricketers, and in particular for promising to stand up for those cricketers in the international arena. WI administrators have been tough on their players whenever they are deemed not to have behaved properly, but have always seemed afraid to take tough stands on behalf of those players in the face of bad treatment internationally.

This is a good day for West Indies cricket, and I hope it is a harbinger of things to come.

 Yours faithfully,

Romain Pitt
