Knicks impressive in win over Miami

(The Sports Xchange) — The New York Knicks continued their great start to 2014 by registering the most impressive victory in a run of four wins in five games on Thursday, a 102-92 triumph over defending NBA champions Miami Heat at Madison Square Garden.

The victory gave the Knicks (13-22) a first three-game winning streak of the season as coach Mike Woodson’s team seek to turn around their fortunes after ending 2013 with a 9-21 record.

Miami (27-9), by contrast, had won 11 of its previous 13 games.

Forward Carmelo Anthony led the Knicks with 29 points, center Andrea Bargnani added 19 points, and point guard Raymond Felton contributed 13 points and 14 assists.

Playing in his 800th NBA game, forward LeBron James led the Heat with 32 points.
