Rugby to be introduced in eight primary schools

KINGSTOWN, St.Vincent, CMC- The sport of Rugby is to be introduced to eight primary schools across St.Vincent as part of a new grass roots programme.

“Get into Rugby” is the title of the new initiative being embarked on by the St.Vincent and theGrenadines Rugby Club.

Grades three and four are being targeted for the initiative, non contact Rugby, due to begin on January 28 and run over a six week period.

The St. Vincent and The Grenadines Rugby Union Football Club (SVG RUFC) says it’s getting support from the International Rugby Board (IRB) and the country’s Ministry of Education as well as The Sports Department.
