GNRA teams sweep top positions of smallbore competition

The Guyana National Rifle Association’s (GNRA) small-bore section organised Queensway Cup team competition saw the club’s ‘A’ team being crowned winners last Sunday at the Timehri pistol ranges with the `B’ and `C’ teams placing second and third respectively.

The `A’ team comprising Gordon Richards, Dr. Johann DaSilva and Ryan McKinnon amassed 726 points.

The GNRA ‘B’ team up of David Dharry, Lawrence Layne and Vidushi Persaud finished second with 703 points, while their ‘C’ team of Murtland Smith, Harold Hopkinson and Azaad Hassan finished third with 611 points.

The Guyana Police Force’s  ‘A’ team comprising M. Melville, A. Easton and E. Scott placed fourth with 603 points while the lawmen’s ‘B’ team placed fifth with 600 points.

The competition attracted eight teams, four representing the GNRA, two from the Guyana Police Force and two from Bank of Guyana Security.
