Table Tennis Academy wins twice

The Table Tennis Academy of Warren Hackshaw, ELishaba Johnson and Sunil Logan won twice when the Guyana Table Tennis Association teams league tournament continued Saturday at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall Mandela Avenue.

TTA defeated Blue Thunder A and B teams while Malteenoes Sports Club ‘s A team spearheaded by Shemar Britton also won two matches.

Some eight matches, four in the “B” Class and four in the “C” Class categories were contested.

Results from matches that played are as follows

“B” Class-

1. Table Tennis Academy “A” (Warren Hackshaw, Elishaba Johnson and Sunil Logan) defeated Blue Thunder “B” (Patrick Triumph, Jurome Mitchell and Roy McClennon) 3-0.

2. Table Tennis Academy “A” (Warren Hackshaw, Elishaba Johnson and Sunil Logan defeated Blue Thunder “A” (Remy Taitt, Devon Richmond and Vernon Rodrigues) 3-1,

3. Malteenoes Sports Club “A” (Shemar Britton, Jeremey Singh and Kyle Edghill) defeated Blue Thunder “B” (Patrick Triumph, Jurome Mitchell and Roy McClennon) 3-1,

4. Malteenoes Sports Club “A” (Shemar Britton, Chelsea Edghill and Kyle Edghill ) beat Malteenoes Sports Club “B” (Kevin Prass, Kevon Corbin and Kristoff Sukhoo) 3-0

“C” Class-

1. Table Tennis Academy “A” (Terrence Rausch, Khalil Ninvalle and Kristie Lopes) defeated Bank of Guyana “A” (Cleveland Davson, Imran Khan and Leonardo) 3-1.

2. Table Tennis Academy “A” (Terrence Rausch, Khalil Ninvalle and Kristie Lopes) defeated Central High (Romario Hemraj, Jamal Persaud and Jamol DaSilva) 3-0.

3. Table Tennis Academy “B” (Kayson Ninvalle, Amit Mookram and Brittney Bunbury)defeated Central High “A” (Romario Hemraj, Jamal Persaud and Jamol DaSilva) 3-0.

4.  Bank of Guyana “A” (Cleveland Davson, Imran Khan and Leonardo) defeated Table Tennis Academy “B” (Kayson Ninvalle, Amit Mookram and Brittney Bunbury) 3-2.

The League will continue on Monday at the National Gymnasium.

Meanwhile the annual Business School, teams tournament will be launched today at the at the National Gymnasium Mandela Avenue starting at 10 am.
