BEI gets the better of BHS

Berbice Education Institute (BEI) recorded their first victory in the Scotia Bank/Pepsi Football Academy on Saturday, defeating Berbice High School by a 2-0 margin when the Berbice leg of the tournament commenced.

Hosted at the All-Saint Ground in New Amsterdam, Glenroy Henry opened the scoring for BEI compliments of a 49th minute effort.

The win would be sealed ten minutes later as Dwayne Allen etched his name on the scorer’s sheet.

Over at the Ministry of Education ground, Carifesta Avenue on Sunday, Lodge Secondary and Charlestown Second-ary played to a 0-0 draw in their female showdown.
