Bush Lot New Generation beat Cotton Tree Diehard

Bush Lot New Generation hammered Cotton Tree Diehard by seven wickets in their U19, Elizabeth Styles match last Saturday at the Bush Lot United Sports Ground, West Coast Berbice.

Cotton Tree Diehard won the toss, batted and were bowled out for 96. Hemchan Singh,16, and Saif Ramah and Andra Chesney with 12 each were

the principal scorers.

Hakeem Miller, 4-9, was the pick of the bowlers for Bush Lot New Generation while Winston Joseph supported with 3-19. In reply, Bush Lot New Generation reached their target of 97 in the 15th over losing three wickets in the process. They were led by an entertaining half century from Navendra Mahadeo who scored 54 from 47 deliveries while Kendy Dhanraj provided support with a quick fire 20 from 16 deliveries.

Andra Chesney 2-29 was Cotton Tree’s most effective bowler while Munesh Hemraj took the other wicket to fall.

Bush Lot New Generation will next host D’ Edward cricket team on Saturday.
