Home-side Fruta Conquerors arrested the Guyana Police Force (GPF) by a 13-0 scoreline when the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) First Division League continued on Wednesday at the Tucville Community ground.
Marauding right fullback Trevon Lythcott opened the scoring in the third minute for the home-side compliments of a penalty kick conversion to the left hand side of the net, following a hand ball infringement inside the area.
Dwayne Lawrence doubled Conquerors lead in two minutes through a header into the left hand side of the net after collecting a cross from a right-sided free kick.
Jahaal Greaves added his name to the score in the 25th minute with a simple finish to the lower left hand corner of the net, following a wonderfully worked passing combination outside the centre of the penalty area.
Lawrence then made it 4-0 in the 31st minute with a clinical strike down the middle of the goal from the left side of the field, after out-manoeuvring the final defender in a foot race for possession of the ball on the left side of the field.
The goals continued to rain as Greaves netted in the 40th minute through a simple finish to an open goal from within the centre of the box, following a squared pass from a Lawrence on the left side of the penalty area.
Daniel Favourite continued the first half demolition in the 45th minute, striking his right-footed effort from the right side of the 18-yard box through the hands of the opposing goalkeeper.
The carnage continued in the second period as Lawrence sealed his hat trick in the 51st minute with a cheeky first time back heel flicked strike into the bottom of the goal.
Greaves sealed his hat trick seven minutes later, placing his effort into the left hand corner of the net from within the centre of the penalty box.
Kareem Knights then added to the goal rush as he scored in the 61st minute with a first time strike into the left hand corner from outside the left side of the penalty area.
With Greaves and Lawrence being substituted following the completing of their respective trebles, winger Eon Alleyne picked up the goal scoring exercise as he netted in the 63rd minute with a strike to the centre of the net from inside the area.
Alleyne doubled his tally one minute later, finishing his effort down the right hand side of the goal. With the lawmen outgunned and outmanned, Conquerors added a further two goals through Alleyne in the 67th and 72nd minute to seal the huge win.
In the opening fixture of the doubleheader, Flamingo FC overcame Beacons FC by a 2-1 score line.
