Flamingo FC edged Beacons FC by a 2-1 score line when the Georgetown Football Association (GFA) First Division League continued at the Tucville Community ground on Wednesday.
Dwayne Layne opened the scoring for the winners in the 38th minute with a strike from the right side of the field which sailed into the top left hand corner of the net.
Beacons levelled the score on the stroke of half time as André Trotz found the back of the net with a strike to the bottom left hand corner from inside the penalty area, after latching onto a through-pass.
Flamingo retook the lead in the 60th minute with Ryan October finishing his effort into the bottom of the woodwork after latching onto a botched clearance by the Beacons defender inside the area.
Desmond Cottam almost found the equaliser for the Beacons unit in the 81st minute only to have his right footed strike from within the left side of the penalty box denied at point blank range by the opposing custodian.
