GVF third division volleyball competition serves off today

The Guyana Volleyball Federation (GVF) will today stage a third division volleyball competition at the Guyana National Gymnasium, Mandela Avenue, Georgetown commencing at 10:00hrs.

Teams expected to take to the court are Achievers, University of Guyana (UG), and Guyana Defence Force (GDF), newcomers Joe Vieira Park, Anna Catherina and Parika while the mining town of Linden is also expected to be making a much anticipated return to the volleyball scene in this part of the country.

Last but not least the Georgetown-based Vanguard female volleyball team will do battle against the newly formed GDF female side in a much anticipated match. From the amount of teams entered, the day promises to be a highly entertaining and memorable one for both players and spectators.

Fans and supporters are encouraged to turn up in large numbers to cheer on and support the teams. Admission to this competition is free.
