Everest falls to GNIC despite Chanderpaul’s half century

Everest Cricket Club (ECC) lost to the Guyana National Industrial Corporation (GNIC) by 15 runs despite an unbeaten half-century from national player Tagenarine Chanderpaul as action continued Saturday in the Georgetown Cricket Association (GCA) Carib Beer T20 first division cricket competition at ECC ground, Carifesta Avenue.

The 17-year-old West Indies Under-19 player struck five fours and a six as he batted through Everest (121-7) innings to record the only fifty of the match.

Despite Chanderpaul’s knock, however, Everest failed by 15 runs to overhaul GNIC’s 136-7.
