Chan, Cameron receive gear from PMCC

The Port Mourant Cricket Club (PMCC) through fund raising and assistance from a few kind hearted persons has purchased gear for Arif Chan and Demetri Cameron who have been selected to represent Berbice in the ongoing Guyana Cricket Board (GCB) three-day U19 inter-county competition. According to PMCC President Vickram Seubarran, the funds raised were insufficient to get complete gear for the duo but New York-based Bhola Ramsundar and Dupaul Singh of Singh’s Sporting Goods donated GY$150, 000 in gear for the two PMCC players who became the most recent players to be selected for the Berbice youth team in a long time.

Seubarran thanked the two businessmen for the contributions and also thanked the persons who came out on Easter Sunday in a bid to assist the club and their young players. The young players as a result were able to acquire footwear, gear bags, bats, helmets, white clothes, gloves, pads, and body guards.
