Ramsammy leads PMCC to victory over Letter Kenny

The Port Mourant Cricket Club (PMCC) led by Joshua Ramsammy’s 95 defeated the Letter Kenny Club by 88 runs in last Sunday’s third round of the 2014 Berbice Cricket Board (BCB)/NBS second division 40-overs-a-side competition.

Played at the Port Mourant ground, Ramsammy cracked 12 fours in his top score and found support from Nicholas Cameron (38) and Ruel Pargass (19) who helped power PMCC to 242 for 7 from 33 overs after a reduction in the number of overs was made due to the weather.

In reply, Letter Kenny were dismissed for 154 in 31.1 overs with Samaroo, who collected two wickets earlier, returning to score 36. Ramsammy, Lyydel Lewis and Daniel Samaroo each claimed two wickets for PMCC.
