MSC starting Independence celebrations with football match

Malteenoes Sports Club (MSC) is poised to host an action packed Independence anniversary weekend with a number of competitions including a six-a-side football match starting today at Thomas Lands.

The roster of activities also includes a darts competition where first place finishers can win monetary and trophy prizes for their efforts. Tomorrow, from 11am a number of sporting activities will be run off along with a fish fry organised by the Guyana Society for the Blind. In the evening, there will be a Christ Church Back-in-Time Party promoted by the school. On Sunday, the Guyana Karate Association will be hosting a grand bar-b-que.

Food and beverages will be on sale at all the events.
