Guyana wins regional U15 title

Kingston, Jamaica – Guyana secured the 2014 Regional Under-15 title with an 11-run victory over Jamaica yesterday at Melbourne. There were also wins for the Windwards and Barbados in the final round of matches.

Kris Ramnarine was also in fine form for the Guyanese, stroking 54 from 79 balls as well, hitting six boundaries in the process. Wickets were spread almost evenly for the Jamaican bowlers but Raewin Senior emerged the pick with figures of 2-36.

The skipper also led the response, striking 113 from 121 balls. His knock included 11 boundaries and two sixes. However, he didn’t get the support he needed from his partners and Jamaica slowly tottered towards defeat.
