Tridents defeat Zouks

The Barbados Tridents last night defeated the St Lucia Zouks at Beausejour Stadium, Gros Islet, St Lucia in the latest instalment of the Caribbean Premier League (CPL) T/20 tourney.

In the 17th match of the CPL, the Tridents won by three wickets with two balls remaining.

The Zouks batted first after winning the toss and they rattled up 167/7 (20/20 ov) with Jonathan Charles scoring 50 and Sohail Tanvir 50 not out. LAS Sebastien chipped in with 33. KR Mayers took 2 for 39.

The Tridents in turn scored 168/7 (19.4/20 ov). Jason Holder with 48 and Kieron Pollard with 37 were among the runs. Shoaib Malik contributed 33. Ray Jordan captured three for 39. Holder was the man of the match.
