Paul George apologises for Twitter remarks

(The Sports Xchange) – Indiana Pacers forward Paul George apologized yesterday for insensitive remarks made via Twitter in reaction to the NFL announcing the indefinite suspension of Baltimore Ravens running back Ray Rice.

“I want to apologize to all victims of domestic abuse for my insensitive tweets,” George said in a team-issued statement. “They were obviously without proper understanding of the seriousness of the situation and I sincerely regret my poor choice of words.”?

The Brooklyn Nets announced the signing of center Jerome Jordan. Terms of the contract were not disclosed.

Last season, Jordan played with Virtus Bologna of the Italian League. He spent the 2012-13 season in the NBA Development League.

Los Angeles Lakers’ star Kobe Bryant was back in Germany this week to have his knees examined by the surgeon who performed a platelet-rich plasma treatment known as Orthokine on his right knee.

Since having the procedure in October, Bryant has said his degenerative knee condition has not bothered him as much as it had in the past.
