Patrick Khan slams 101

Farm’s Patrick Khan slammed a century to help his team record a convincing win over Brickery SuperStars in the latest round of matches of the Ramchand and Rohan Auto Spares softball competition played recently.

In other results among the male teams there were wins for Enterprise Legends, Uprisers, Industry Super Kings, Country Side and Parika Defenders and Regal Masters while among the women’s Trophy Stall Angels and Blue Divas ran out winners.

At the Demerara Cricket Club (DCC) Ground, Farm defeated Brickery SuperStars by 127 runs. Farm batted first and made 275-4 in their allotted 20 overs. Patrick Khan 101, Avinash Sookdeo 66, and Sheldon Roach 47 not out were the top scorers. V. Persaud took 2 for 60. Brickery Superstars replied with 148 all out in 19 overs.

Deonarine Singh made 26 while Ameer Khan took 3 for 15 and K. Rambarran 3 for 18.

Enterprise Legends defeated Wellman by two wickets. Wellman, 182 for 8 in 20 overs. Luther Wright top scored with 35 while Steve Massiah made 30. Narine Roopdeo took two wickets for 14. Enterprise replied with 186 for 9 in 19.3 overs. N. Rooplall scored 45 while Nandalall Seebarran made 34. Lloyd Rooplall took 3 for 36 and Greg De Franco 2 for 29.

Uprisers defeated Warriors IX by eight runs. Uprisers, 171 all out in 16.1 overs. Yoodhanlall Subilall, 36, Oslyn Batson 24 and Fidel Singh, 20. M. Arjune took 4 for 33. Warriors, in reply, made 163 for 9 in their allotted 20 overs. R. Persaud, 38 and V. Badri, 33 were the main contributors. Fidel Singh bagged 4-18 and Y. Subilall 2-18.

At the Parika Ground, Industry Super Kings defeated Frontliners by five wickets. Frontliners batted first and made 67 for 9 in 16 overs. Jagdesh Persaud 29 was the top scorer. Industry Super Kings in reply made 68 for 6 in 15.2 overs. N. Chand made 17.

Country Side defeated Princess Hotel by four wickets. Princess Hotel made 145 for 8 in their allotted 20 overs. Mahendra Lilldar top scored with 31. Country Side replied with 146 for 6 in 17.2 overs. Sakichan Jagdeo top scored with 53 while Navin Persaud made 28.

Regal Masters defeated Slingers by five wickets. Slingers made 176 for 3 in their allotted 20 overs. Mohammed Rafeek made 72 not out and Rudy Rodriques 73. M. Hardyal took 2-34. Regal Masters in reply made 177 for 6 in 19.2 overs. Eric Thomas 47, Jaga Bhoj 33, and Linden Lyght 27 were the main contributors. Mohammed Rafeek picked up 2-41.

Parika Defenders defeated Bel Air Rubis by four wickets. Bel Air Rubis made 151 for 3 in 15 overs. Suresh Ramdin top scored with 66 not out. Parika Defenders in reply made 154 for 7 in 14.2 overs.

In women’s matches Trophy Stall Angels defeated Wellwoman by 14 runs. Trophy Stall Angels batted first and made 87 for 4 in their allotted 10 overs. Roxanne Demonick 24 was the top score. Haseena Mohamed picked up 2-16 for Wellwoman who, in reply, made 73-7 in their 10 overs. Haseena Mohamed top scored with 37.

Blue Divas edged 4R Lioness by six runs. Blue Divas batted first and made 92 for 5 in their 10 overs. Lisa Gilkes top scored with 33. 4R lioness in reply made 86 for 2 in their 10 overs. Ruth George’s 23 was the top score.
