Guyanese artist in international competition

Guyanese visual artist Carl Anderson has entered four paintings into the Bombay Artisan 2014 Competition.

According to Anderson, the four paintings are “Window to the Caribbean”, “Mash to the Beat”, “Carnival Joker” and “Under the Glorious Son-Sun of the Soil”.

The competition, sponsored by Bacardi USA in partnership with the Rush Philanthropic Arts Foundation will be judged on November 10.

On September 2, it was opened to online voting and this ends on November 9. Guyanese can support Carl Anderson by voting for his pieces every day until then.

According to Anderson, readers can go to the website www.bombayartisan. com/submission/list and click the region “New York” and use the keyword “Anderson” to vote for his four images under his name ‘Carl Anderson’.

According to the competition rules, “There is a limit of one vote per person, per entry, per day, and a person may only use one e-mail address to vote.”
