Artisans, agro processors likely to be prominent at business expo

As the Ministry of Business through its Small Business Bureau presses ahead with arrangements for the November 27-29 Business Exposition, more than 140 requests have been made for participation in the event which replaces the annual GuyExpo event for 2015 and which will feature local small businesses.

Stabroek Business has been reliably informed that up to earlier this week the planning secretariat had received a total of 43 requests from the art and craft sector.

The second highest number of requests, 42, have come from the agro-processing sector, whilst 25 vendors from the professional and business development services sector have expressed a desire to participate.

Nineteen expressions of interest have been received from the food and catering sector.

Other sectors expected to participate in the event include manufacturing, apiculture and fun rides.
