NO EMBRACE FOR JUMBIES
Taurus could not help but be impressed by remarks made at rallies by APNU/AFC top men. Especially Comrade Moses and Dr. Roopnaraine (who Moses shoved out of his Prime Minister wuk.)
Moses promised a “Day of National Embrace” After APNU/AFC’s expected victorious May 11. But Taurus wonders: How do you embrace persons you accuse of national thievery, extreme corruption; of giving away our patrimony of natural resources; of nepotism and rampant racism? You gotto be Jesus Christ himself, I guess.
Dr. Rupert warned that Dr. Jagdeo took three years off to make more personal foreign exchange as the Champion of the Earth. But according to Dr. Rupert, Jagdeo has now returned from some Guyana grave “to haunt” the country. (Taurus disliked Dr. Bharrat’s blatant turnaround after claiming he wanted no office or seat but then was deemed “Chairman” of some “National Economic Council” and then found his way on his Party’s Parliamentary List. These people really disrespect Taurus’ intelligence and political savvy.) I Taurus will not be embracing any selfish political JUMBIES.
THOSE “PAID” POLITICAL ADS
Man oh man! Taurus is enjoying some of the homestretch political ads – appearing in all the media.
APNU/AFC, as opposition opponents can, is way in front in terms of creativity, message impact, and humour. Hopefully for their sakes, these ads are effective in their objective because many times the parties preach to and entertain their own, the already converted. Taurus is looking for the PPP/C’s hard-hitting responses but he has not been thrilled by them as yet.
Among Taurus’ favourites right now: “FIRE DEM ALL ON MAY 11”, SO-SO-SO? PPP YUH LIE!”; “CRIES OF THE POOR (the one about the rape of the Cheddi’s Life and Legacy); GRANGER’S APPLICATION, REJECTED!; Former PPP top man now APNU/AFC PRIME MINISTERIAL CANDIDATE – A NEEMAK HARAM (GUILTY!). This latter will mean that Guyana will have its first Neemak Haram/ungrateful turncoat Prime Minister – if the PPP ads are accurate. (“Dis one fuh you Pa/Moses”); PPP’s BLACKOUT: KEEP YOUR SMILE.
But Taurus found the PPP’s print ad thanking the various PPP Rally “Crowds” strange. Why thank supporters for their duty? Especially if they too were bussed and trucked in?
THE ANIMAL PARTIES, THE ZOO
With just hours to Monday’s Polling Day, the Animal Parties are obviously taking a licking. Much to the delight of the animals they never consulted.
Taurus has not heard any significant ads or announcements from the Cow-Head Party the Lion Head Party or the Panther Head Party. No TV, no newspaper, no rallies. Ow man. Where is the Third Force? Goats and Jackasses are now skinning their teeth at the Cows, Lions and Panthers. But wait! Taurus is hearing ‘bout a last-minute Sunday Mass Rally at the Georgetown ZOO! If so, that rally has to end by 6:00pm when the Zoo closes!
