Man charged for Dana Seetahal’s murder

(Trinidad Express) Hamid Ali has been charged for the murder of Dana Seetahal SC.

This was confirmed by sources close to the investigation late last night.

Ali, said to be the brother of a former LifeSport coordinator, was being held at the San Juan Police Station, where he was officially processed and charged last night for the murder of the senior counsel.

However, the process, sources said, had only now begun as other men were confirmed to face a similar charge.

Sources also noted that, based on their information, charges of conspiracy to commit murder and other charges under the Anti-Gang Act will be utilised against the remaining seven people.

One woman, a close relative of the same former LifeSport coordinator, had been charged for being a gang member earlier yesterday evening.
