At about 2130h. last night, police say that Errol Campbell, 33 years, of Ann’s Grove, ECD, was involved in an altercation with two other men at Ann’s Grove during which he was stabbed about his body. He succumbed while receiving medical treatment, police say.
A man has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
Meanwhile, investigations are being conducted into the death of Augustine Samuels, 52 years, of Aracru, NWD, which occurred at about 1930h. last night at Aracru.
Investigations so far, police say, have revealed that Augustine Samuels and another man, who is the suspect in this matter, were imbibing at a shop when the suspect became involved in an issue with the owner of the shop.
The owner of the shop managed to escape, whereupon the suspect attacked Samuels and stabbed him about his body. Samuels was pronounced dead on arrival at the Mabaruma Hospital.
The suspect has not yet been arrested.
Investigations are also being conducted into the death of miner Andre Britton, 50 years, of 111 Miles Mahdia, Potaro, which occurred at about 0130h. today at Mahdia.
Investigations, police say, have revealed that Britton had earlier confronted a man, during which the man was assaulted, for throwing squibs into his yard and the man later returned and stabbed him about his body. He was pronounced dead on arrival at the Mahdia hospital.
The suspect has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations.
