According to a press release groups benefiting from the donations were the Cheshire Home Mahaica, Hope Children’s Home, Lusignan Learning Centre for Abused Children, St John’s Bosco Orphanage, Bless the Children Orphanage, the Mahaica Children’s Home, Uncle Eddie’s Home and the Prabhu Sharan Orphanage.

The donations were made under the GCH’s Christmas Community Support Programme and the hotel says it identifies the most vulnerable groups to benefit from the programme – the aged, orphaned, abused and differently abled.

Meanwhile, GCH also reaches out to several needy organizations throughout the year. “Only recently the hotel agreed to donate 14 room nights, inclusive of meals, free of cost, to the local United Nations office as a contribution to its domestic violence programme,” the release added.
