The charge stated that on January 18, at Carifesta Avenue, Georgetown, Small with intent to insult or annoy Akesha Hodge, called her names.

The unrepresented 20-year-old man told the court that he spoke to Hodge while her car window was up and she could not hear what he was saying; besides he did not call her any name to insult or annoy her.

After Small’s explanation, the magistrate recorded a not guilty plea on his behalf and placed him on $5000 bail.

The matter will be called again on February 2, at Court 1.
