Rupertee woman dies after accident
At about 0330h. today, police say that Georgiana Smith, 59 years, of Rupertee, North Rupununi, was walking along the roadway when she was struck down by a motor cycle.
She suffered injuries and was taken to the Annai Health Post where she was pronounced dead on arrival.
The driver of the motor cycle fled the scene and has not yet been arrested.
The motor cycle has been detained by the police, as the investigations continue.
