Accused cleared of bike theft due to insufficient evidence

Ricardo Bayley, who was accused of stealing a CG motorcycle from another man, was yesterday cleared of the charge after a court concluded that there was insufficient evidence against him.

During Bayley’s trial, which was conducted before Magistrate Judy Latchman in the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court 3, four witnesses testified, including the victim, Osaffa Browne, and his mother.

At yesterday’s hearing, the last two witnesses testified, after which the prosecution closed its case.
