of possession of narcotics for trafficking.

It is alleged that on April 20, at CJIA, Timehri, East Bank Demerara, she had 937 grammes of cocaine in her possession. At the arraignment before Magistrate Judy Latchman at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court 3, Attorney Adrian Thompson made an application for bail to be granted to Dalrymple, while noting that she had indicated to him that she has no knowledge of what was found in her suitcase. However, the court was told that the illegal substance was found well concealed in the woman’s suitcase, while she was an outbound traveller.

Prosecutor Kerry Bostwick objected to bail and stated that no special reasons were provided to the court for bail to be granted. Bail was subsequently refused and the matter was adjourned to May 7 for the commencement of trial.
