At about 2250h. yesterday, the police say that Shawn Anys, 37 years of Turkeyen, ECD, went out into his yard to check after dogs were barking continuously and was confronted by two men, one of whom was armed with a handgun.
During the confrontation, police say that Anys was shot to his body by the perpetrators who then entered the home and took away a laptop computer, two cell phones and $40,000 and escaped.
Anys was taken to the GPHC where he was pronounced dead on arrival.
Investigations are in progress.
