At about 1330h. today, police say that two men who had joined a mini-bus as passengers, one of whom was armed with a handgun, stopped the vehicle at Eccles, EBD, and held up the other occupants. They took away jewellery and cash and escaped.
The police say that a quick response to the report by cops led to the arrest of the two suspects in Agricola and the recovery of a gold chain that had been stolen.
The men are in police custody assisting with the investigations.
