Further to a press release made earlier today in relation to the deaths of Parbatie Vyraum and Ramdat Persaud of Tain, Corentyne, Berbice, police say that the investigations are now centred on a double murder.
Post mortem examinations done by Pathologist Dr. Vivkanand Brijmohan have revealed that both persons died from hemorrhage and shock due to incised wounds.
Persaud had sustained an injury to his head.
A man who formerly shared a relationship with the woman has been arrested and is in police custody assisting with the investigations, the police say.
