Alleged clock thief granted bail

Time ran out for a man yesterday when he was charged with stealing two clocks from the Ministry of Public Health and subsequently placed on bail.

Ravindra Arjoon pleaded not guilty to the charge yesterday at the Georgetown Magistrates’ Court 2.

The 44-year-old self-employed man, who resides at 179 Charlotte Street, Bourda, was accused of stealing a wall clock, valued $3,000, and a radio clock, valued $8,000, on June 25, 2015, from the Ministry of Public Health. The prosecution did not present any facts and had no objections to bail.

Arjoon was placed on $25,000 bail by Magistrate Ann McLennan. His next court date is July 11, 2015.
