Acting on information received, the police say that at about 1800h. yesterday, they conducted a search on a man at the East Bank Demerara Bus Park, Stabroek Market, in whose possession was found an unlicensed 9mm Beretta pistol with 18 matching rounds.
The man, who was wanted for questioning into several armed robberies, is in police custody and charges will be made shortly.
