During last night, police say that Seretse Nievelder, 29 years, of South Ruimveldt Park, Georgetown, was driving a motor car along Camp Street, Georgetown, when two men drove up alongside on a motor cycle and demanded that he stop the vehicle.
Police say that Nievelder refused and the pillion rider shot him to his right foot and the men escaped.
Nievelder has been admitted to hospital as the investigations continue.
