Women held with cocaine at Ogle airport

Two Guyanese women are now in police custody after they were found with cocaine at the Ogle International Airport, where they were outgoing passengers.

The police, in a statement, announced that ranks from the Narcotics Branch arrested the women at about 8.30pm on Friday.

The police said they found 1,372 grammes of cocaine in one of the women’s possession, while 976 grammes were found in the possession of the other. Meanwhile, police also announced the arrest of six men, who they say were found 510 grammes of marijuana in a minibus, which was stopped and searched at Rosignol early yesterday morning.

Police added that a police mobile patrol made the find at about 1am yesterday.
