Guyanese woman rescued by police in T&T

(Trinidad Express) THREE women were freed from a house in Arouca yesterday after detectives uncovered a human-trafficking ring in the area.
Two women from Venezuela and another from Guyana were freed from the house by officers of the Arouca Criminal Investigation Department, Snr Supt David Abraham confirmed yesterday.
The women are said to be in their 20s.
Police officers are still trying to locate the mastermind behind the operation, Abraham said.
“Two Venezuelan women and a Guyanese women were in a place in Arouca and they had them there against there will, probably using them for prostitution and different things,” Abraham said. Anyone with information is asked to contact the Arouca CID at 640-6138.
