Three more concessionaires have been added to the Giftland Mall, Turkeyen giving customers a wider range of choices.

RareFinz, which has been operating in the Big Apple building on Robb Street has opened another location on the second floor of the Giftland Mall.

The owner Chaka Parris believes that the range of men’s and women’s apparel, along with sunglasses and other accessories which she is offering to Guyanese is distinguished and unique and uncommon to the local market.

Parris noted that some of the products at her boutique are as a result of inspiration from the different countries she has travelled. Parris said that her prices are very competitive.

Next to RareFinz is another boutique ‘The Closet’ owned by Nadia Jonas. Jonas’ inspiration to open her boutique came as she was shopping in the United Kingdom.

She said that Guyanese women will be offered a wide range of styles and the plus-size women are also being catered for.

Most of the clothing available at the moment comprises dresses that could be worn at almost any occasion but in the main by working professional women. She said that her dresses are very affordable and the prices range from $5, 000 to $15, 000.

Jonas is hoping to include clothing for men and additional choices for women in the near future.

With watches and sunglasses galore, shoppers are allowed to choose from designer brands as well as the cheaper ones, Alicia Karim at ‘The Icon’ also on the second floor of the Mall, told Stabroek News.

Also on sale at ‘The Icon’ are a variety of caps and handbags.

Karim said that The Icon caters for the poor, middle class and wealthy. It is a branch from ‘The Icon’ in the City Mall.

After an investment of six years and more than US$30M, the Giftland Mall at Turkeyen opened its doors to the public on July 2nd this year.

The President of Giftland Mall is businessman Roy Beepat.
