The President should stop procrastinating

Dear Editor,

I heard a joke from a friend of mine recently that I want to share with Guyanese to lighten the atmosphere. It goes like this:

‘Procrastinators of the world unite – tomorrow.’

To procrastinate is to put something off until a future date, which brings me to the topic at hand.

President Donald Ramotar should stop procrastinating and end the prorogation of Parliament by dissolving it and calling snap elections. This should be done because the President said he was waiting for the Christmas holidays to finish before he announced a date. It is now 18th January, 2015.

There is a time for everything – a time for inaction and a time for action.

Yours faithfully,

Sean McLean
