A mass of hard words

Dear Editor,

As an emigre from the coastlands to the more hospitable environment of Region 9, I still find myself unqualified to read some parts of your newspaper. I couldn’t get further than halfway through the first paragraph of the one from an ex-minister in your Friday edition. May I ask you to provide a translation, just in case there is a gem or a germ of an idea hidden in that mass of hard words. Maybe at the same time you can restate your criteria for publication of letters to the editor, of which brevity used to be one.

Yours faithfully,
Gordon Forte
