Dear Editor,
I am a UK resident of dual UK-Guyanese nationality.
I am breaking my silence just to state how appalled I am at the state of governance in Guyana at present.
As it seems to me Guyana is governed by a dictatorship with a promise of an early election at a date still unknown to me.
I stand with the UK government in being appalled at the state of play which, though legal, is totally against the grain and against the spirit of democracy.
I think it is important that the Guyanese people know that their plight is being noticed by the Guyanese diaspora and others abroad, and that the Guyana Government is made aware that they are being watched.
