Dear Editor,
As a former PS in the Ministry of Human Services and Social Security, I was privileged to be Mrs Ann Greene’s direct supervisor for several years. I can assure all that Mrs Greene never showed any disrespect for me or any of her co-workers. She is a true professional and is most passionate about her job. She emits no pretence and, therefore, always gives her opinion in a straight-forward, ‘non-politically correct’ manner. These are qualities we rarely find these days and it should be the wish of every minister or PS to have employees like her.
Her years of service have resulted in a vast reservoir of experience and knowledge and I am positive that if Mrs Greene is being accused of being “disrespectful” she was doing nothing more than giving her professional opinion in her own non-sugarcoated way.
It is time to stop the pettiness and get back to the task of creating and providing much needed policies and services to our nation’s children.
