Reckless, unlicensed Bartica driver left speedboat champion with severe injuries

Dear Editor,

For months Barticians have been very much concerned for their road safety. Some have even complained to the relevant authority about a young man attached to a reputable gold-buying enterprise located in First Avenue, Bartica   using the streets of our little township as the South Dakota racing circuit with impunity from legal redress.

Daily this young speedster is seen by all and sundry riding without a helmet, jumping all intersections with scant consideration for other motorists, showing absolutely no regards for the law and safety of others. Barticians knew it was just a matter of time before

something tragic happened.

Tuesday, June 2, 2015 Mr. Speedster self-graduated from his motor cycle and began to drive a white a SUV pickup. What was more alarming, he was doing the same craziness,   and as predicted, he jumped a corner and collided with a young motorcyclist Mr. Trieon Belle, Bartica speedboat champion at the corner of 6th Avenue and 3rd, hurling him several feet in the air.

Trieon Bell was rushed to the Bartica Hospital and later subsequently transferred to the Georgetown Public Hospital. Barticians are very infuriated and are very concerned. Young Belle was fighting for his life with internal injuries, a broken hand and a leg which was subsequently amputated. Mr. Speedster was held by the police and subsequently released.

Barticians subsequently learned that Mr. Speedster was not a holder of valid driver’s licence .The general feeling is that this accident could have been avoided if the relevant authority was vigilant and curbed Mr. Speedster’s daily road rage which was apparent to all but ironically not the authorities.

Yours faithfully,
