GPOC is working to address delays at some locations

Dear Editor,

The Guyana Post Office Corporation (GPOC) wishes to acknowledge the concerns expressed in Mr E B John’s letter published in the August 22, 2015, edition of the Stabroek News captioned, ‘Lack of timeliness in pension delivery evidence of chronic inefficiency within GPOC.’

Management wishes to thank Mr John for the interest he has shown in the Post Office and sincerely apologises for any inconvenience experienced. GPOC remains committed towards ensuring that the public receives an efficient service with the least interruption.

Consequent on the well-publicised break-and-enter/robberies, GPOC has restructured its security system which resulted in delays at some locations. Notwithstanding its challenges, Management is working assiduously to address same.

Customers are encouraged to raise all queries with our Customer Services Department on telephone number 226-3127 or email us at pro@guypost.gy.

Yours faithfully,
Telesha Whyte
Public Relations Officer
