Dear Editor,
A number of residents of Soesdyke on the East Bank of Demerara have been illegally consuming electricity. The management and staff of Guyana Power & Light Inc must be congratulated for taking the initiative to bring this criminal act to a halt. However hours after the removal of some meters on August 27, the illegality recommenced.
Editor this criminal act endangers peoples lives and their assets, yet no criminal charges have been instituted against those involved.
