GABF President Nigel Hinds said that the event can be a catalyst for development locally, while challenging the organization to use the tourney to bring the discipline back to forefront by filling the stands of the venue.

The long standing sponsors of the tourney are Digicel, the Beharry Group of Companies and Banks DIH Limited.
