The Georgetown Cricket Club (GCC) successfully completed their unbeaten run in the Farfan & Mendes Men’s first Division two round League, defeating the National u-21 men’s team in the final fixture on Wednesday at the GCC ground.
Having already secured the title on points after securing wins in every fixture except one, the Bourda-based unit edged their younger counterparts following a scoreless opening half, compliments of a Phillip Fernandes effort in the 64th minute.
Upon the conclusion of the match, Marketing Officer of Farfan & Mendes Limited Delon Josiah presented the championship trophy to the victorious GCC team.
