Ansa McAL to sponsor National junior track and field c/ships

Ansa McAL announced yesterday that it will sponsor this year’s National Youth, Junior Track and Field championships under the Smalta product.

The pact’s financial magnitude was undisclosed but was labeled as substantial for the June 20 fixture to be staged at the National Track and Field Centre at Leonora.

“We are extremely happy to be onboard,” said Ansa McAL’s PRO Darshanie Yussuf.

“We look forward to giving our young champions the opportunity to show off their amazing skills and excelling and we can only expect greater things from them. Smalta is happy to be onboard,” she added.

During the press briefing at the conglomerate’s Beterverwagting head office, president of the Athletic Association of Guyana (AAG), Aubrey Hutson revealed that this year’s edition of the event will be dubbed the ‘Smalta National Youth and Junior Track and Field Championships’.

Hutson also expressed his gratitude to the company for supporting the athletes.

“We must thank Ansa McAL a whole lot for coming onboard with us to run off this championship and we welcome this partnership particularly from the standpoint that we have good, promising athletes in our youth and junior departments.”

Hutson pointed out that ‘These athletes are highly ranked at the senior level and as junior athletes they are really and truly doing great for themselves.” He added that “With Smalta onboard now we are able to host a better tournament and we only hope that the athletes continue to support the brand since we know what Smalta can do for you as an athlete.”
