Hinds reigns supreme

Orville Hinds out rode a field of Guyana’s premier wheelsmen to cart off the spoils of the feature 35-lap event of the fifth Malta Supreme sponsored nine-race programme at the National Park yesterday.

Besides the winner’s trophy, the Team Evolution standout pocketed two sprint prizes before biking to victory in one hour, 19 minutes and 49 seconds.

The 24-year old led national cyclist Alonzo Ambrose and Stephano Husbands onto the podium while last year’s winner Akeem Wilkinson, veteran rider Robin Persaud and junior time-trial champion, Jamal John filled out the top six paid positions.
