North Ruimveldt to clash with BV

The group stage round in the inaugural GT Beer Futsal Championship will continue today at the Cliff Anderson Sports Hall on Homestretch Avenue with four matchups.

In the opening fixture, North Ruimveldt will oppose Beterver-wagting (BV) from 19:00hrs in a group-D affair while group-C will take centre stage when Showstoppers lock horns with Broad Street in the second fixture from 19:45hrs.

The third fixture will then pit Albouystown against Alexander Village in a group-B affair from 21:00hrs whilst the final fixture of the night at 21:45hrs will witness West Front Road-Gold is Money against Sophia in a group-C showdown.

Action will then continue on Sunday at the same venue with another four group fixtures. In the opening matchup, Alexander Village will oppose Globe Yard from 19:00hrs in a group-B affair while Festival City will lock horns with Kitty Weavers from 19:45hrs in a group-A affair.

In the third matchup at 21:00hrs, Agricola will face off with Queen Street Tigerbay in a group-A showdown while the final matchup at 21:45hrs will pit Albouystown and Sparta Boss in a group-B showdown of the unbeaten sides.

The winner of the tournament will collect $500,000 and the championship trophy while the second, third and fourth place finishers will collect $250,000, $125,000 and $75,000 and the corresponding accolade.
